Ugandan R&B singer Maro has creared out the air about the long-standing rumours that once linked him romantically to powerhouse vocalist Iryn Namubiru, revailing that what fans saw as ''sweet love'' was just a creative chemistry.
The buzz followed their wayback hit collaboration ''Addicted,'' whose studio visuals showed the two artists in a warm, intimate light. Those images quickly went viral, and the internet in-laws did exactly what they know the best. That's the gossip of both dating.! The speculation grew so faster like a wild burning fire to Maro's father.
''I laughed when my father called me,'' Maro shared during an interview on a local TV show known as The Deep Talk. ''He was someone I had never really talked to about women.''
Maro clarified that his close relationship with Iryn was nothing else but purely professional and cordial.
''Yes, I used to tell people that Iryn was my crush, she was always my number one favourite artiste, after Maurice Kirya,'' he said. "Doing that song with her was a blessing. When we went to the studio and took those close photos, they went viral. That's when I actually got to know her more. She's often portrayed differently in the media.''
For Maro, the romantic collaboration with Iryn wasn't about romance. It was about art, growth, and working alongside a diva he admired. Unfortunately, the internet family and relatives turned a creative bond into a Romeo and Juliet love story that never existed.
